About this cause

Talitha Arts delivers therapeutic arts workshops to enable transformation for those in need of mental health support. Our workshops are delivered to vulnerable groups to benefit their mental health and wellbeing, including people living with dementia, survivors of trafficking and domestic violence/abuse, refugees, people in recovery, and young people. The workshops are run by experienced practitioners utilising a combination of music, drama, visual art and movement to promote confidence, wellbeing, a sense of community, self-esteem and hopefulness for the future.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Our therapeutic arts workshops will benefit young people's mental health and wellbeing, utilising a combination of music, drama, movement and visual art. These engaging and fun workshops will promote self-confidence, self-esteem, and sense of community, and they will increase overall wellbeing, helping young people to develop key skills (including language, teamwork, and problem-solving). We hope that these workshops will help young people (particularly those who are vulnerable) feel more connected to themselves, one another, and their local community, as they recognise their own skills, qualities and strengths and grow in the community with others through the arts.
