About this cause
The Friends of Commonswood fundraise for the school by organising fun events and sales. The PTA funds are used to supplement the school's budget to enrich and boost the learning environment for the children.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This seating area will be a safe and calm space many children will appreciate. The project will enable students to socialise and feel at peace during their breaktimes. The planters will give students the opportunity to learn about gardening and help wildlife by providing pollinator-friendly plants. We hope this project will help children's mental health by giving them a tranquil area to sit in, away from the busyness of playtime.
