About this cause
We are the friendly PTA at Mayfield Primary School in Cambridge, dedicated to helping our students shine and our community grow. We support learning with extra resources and fun technology, making sure every child can reach their potential. By teaming up with local businesses and encouraging parent volunteers, we create a warm, inclusive environment. Through creative fundraising, we tackle funding challenges, promote sustainability and celebrate diversity.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our Forest School project at Mayfield Primary will create a vibrant, eco-friendly outdoor learning space. By transforming our grounds with native plants, a pond, bird feeders and insect hotels, we’ll foster a deeper connection to nature for our students. This initiative will enhance environmental education, promoting biodiversity and sustainability. The Forest School will bring together students, parents and local volunteers, creating a strong sense of community and shared responsibility for protecting our environment. Children will gain hands-on experience with local ecosystems, fostering a lifelong appreciation for nature.
