About this cause

The Delamere Community Centre is a vibrant community centre in Eastham, offering a wide range of activities and services for the community to enjoy and benefit from. Our current provision includes a busy luncheon club for the elderly, a chair-assisted exercise class, and a social afternoon to get everyone together to have fun, reduce isolation and make friends. As an extension of this, we do an annual Christmas Day lunch for anyone who may find themselves alone. We also run holiday clubs for free school meal families. We have a food pantry and we also are part of Wirral Zero Waste, allowing families access to low-cost and free food. We also engage a welfare advisor. We hope this multi-faceted approach will support families in multiple ways and relieve food and childhood poverty.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Through funding, we would like to continue offering a low-cost chair-assisted exercise class, enhance our luncheon club by offering music and dancing, and fund some craft and cookery sessions.
