People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
The Hub creates a safe and supportive place for young people to hang out together. They are always looked after by trained youth workers. The focus is on risk from loneliness and the vulnerable.

About this cause
As set out in The Hub's Mission Statement, we continue to strive to benefit the residents of Henley-in-Arden and the neighbourhood in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time, with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents and safeguarding the community. The Hub is open from 9.00am to 9.00pm five days a week with additional weekend activities. We cater for mums and babies, young people from 9 to 18 and senior citizens. We also provide a 24-hour helpline to those who need it, sometimes signposting to specific assistance where needed. There are free IT support lessons available.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will enhance our current offer through the delivery of workshops on key topics aimed at young people. Each youth session is currently delivered by paid trained staff members and volunteers. The Hub offers workshop sessions on relationships and sexual health, mental health, substance misuse, knife crime, county lines and the environment, plus potential for additional topics as raised by the young people or as relevant to national days throughout the project. This is delivered in after-school coffee bar drop-ins and two youth clubs for young people aged 8–16. The clubs offer a wide variety of activities.
