About this cause

Made-Well provides purposeful and positive opportunities. We reach out to all people, especially those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental illness and loneliness. We are a not-for-profit community interest company established in August 2007 at West Fishleigh Farm, just outside the market town of Hatherleigh, West Devon. Our development has seen us go from a ploughed field to the Made-Well you see today – a venture serving the community and offering opportunities for development and growth. We are a community resource for educational visits, family events and activities, a community library and a warm space.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Installing a wheelchair-accessible potting shed in our community garden will help connect the people we support and community members. The project will promote inclusion, by ensuring the space is accessible to all. This initiative will promote community learning and sustainable food production for everybody in a therapeutic community/sensory garden.
