About this cause
We are focused on empowering the older people in Epsom & Ewell to live the most fulfilling lives they can. We do this by helping our older citizens to stay connected. Our Information and Advice Service offers a wide range of confidential advice. We help our clients get to their health-related appointments with our transport scheme and our Home Visitor can help with applications for social support. To combat loneliness and isolation, we run a Befriending Scheme and we host monthly Sunday Teas and a Men’s Group. We help our clients to access IT, navigating smart phones, iPads and laptops. A team of IT volunteers visit clients in need of help and we host IT Clubs. We help our older community who sometimes feel marginalised due to accessibility, technical advances and the cost of living.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Age Concern Epsom & Ewell is an independent charity that serves the older people living within the borough, enabling them to stay connected and to live the most fulfilling lives they can. Our services include Information and Advice, Befriending, Medical Drivers, Social Support, Sunday Teas, Men’s Group, IT volunteers, and an IT Club. None of this would be possible without the support of our local community as we receive no statutory funding. Help us to meet the growing needs of our older community so that we can continue to run these vital services, helping older people to navigate a changing society and to connect on every level.
