About this cause
We are a new enthusiastic PTA of parent volunteers working alongside teachers to benefit the Sutton-in-Craven C of E school and ensure the best educational experience and enrichment for all its children. Parents and care givers have a big impact on how well our children do at school. Our active and enthusiastic PTA makes a difference by helping to fund school enrichment initiatives; providing a social support network for parents; providing a forum for parents to have a say; and providing volunteers and opportunities so that parents can support their child’s learning.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our initiative to increase enrichment funding for our small local school would enable us as a PTA to provide curriculum enhancement opportunities and social experiences for every student regardless of their family’s financial needs. This in turn will assist in improving students' and their families' mental health over the financial demands that households are facing. We only formed in September 2022 and we have had a slow but steady growth over our first two years. It would be fantastic to boost more enrichment opportunities for our children and to be able to help to facilitate any ongoing enrichment overhauls to the outdoor space of the school. These opportunities benefit the entire school and will enhance the social and mental wellbeing of the children.
