The Reach Out Project at Mycenae House
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We wish for our Community Centre to reach more vulnerable members of our community. We want to provide podiatry sessions and crafts for the community.

About this cause
The Mycenae Reach Out Project is dedicated to combating social isolation and loneliness within our community by engaging community members in social connections and activities. We believe that fostering a sense of belonging and purpose is crucial in leading fulfilling lives. Our social meet-ups offer a welcoming space for individuals to gather, forge new friendships, and participate in activities to enjoy a sense of belonging in our community. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, valued, and connected, ensuring that no one faces the isolating challenges of loneliness. By bringing people together, we aim to cultivate a vibrant and supportive network that empowers individuals to thrive and live life to the fullest.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Reach Out Project is not just about connecting people. It's about building a community where everyone feels valued, heard and appreciated. It's about reminding us all that we are stronger together, that we are not alone, and that the power of connection can truly transform lives. We provide a safe and supportive space for vulnerable individuals to connect, learn coping techniques, and engage in social activities that foster mindfulness and emotional resilience. Funding would be a vital lifeline for our mental health wellbeing initiatives. We will offer crafts with a tutor and also relaxing hand/foot massage sessions with a podiatrist. Funding would also pay for our venue and refreshments for community members.
