About this cause
The Dalgarno Trust is a community centre for people in North Kensington. We provide a safe, happy place to come for everyone in our local community, and we run projects and services promoting health, wellbeing and inclusion. We run activities for everyone, whether you are 9 weeks or 90 years old. Our programmes include: Community Champions – activities for locals, from baby stay and play to sewing workshops, run by local volunteers; HealthWorks Enables – we work in partnership with local BAME organisations to provide health and wellbeing projects; Dalgarno Youth Programme – after-school and holiday clubs for 7-18 year olds; and Digital Champions – helps the digitally excluded to learn skills to use IT. We also run a foodbank every Thursday.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Dalgarno Youth Programme is where our youth thrive. We run a service that allows our young people to grow and develop in sports, academics and their social and emotional abilities, with the support of our dedicated and experienced youth team. Our work is focused on the youth and their needs, and encourages them to build resilience and enjoy life. We run after-school activities every day in term time and holiday camps during school holidays. Our activities are free of charge, except for boxing which has a small monthly charge to cover costs. Activities include sports, arts and crafts, healthy cooking, music, indoor games, challenges and much more.
