About this cause
Space for Yew has been created to support neurodivergent families in rural parts of Rother. We currently provide our services in Crowhurst, Ninfield and Etchingham. We offer weekly Family Stay, Play and Learn sessions for families with children aged 0-8 which are full of creative, educational and sensory seeking opportunities. Coffee mornings for parents/carers. Training and wellbeing events for all ages such as First Aid and Wreath making. All of our sessions are designed specifically for neurodivergent people and we tailor our service to meet sensory needs. We would like to use money raised to purchase sensory toys and equipment to meet the diverse needs of the families attending our sessions.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our Family Stay, Play and Learn sessions are a great opportunity to meet other neurodivergent families. This prevents isolation and supports new friendships. Our Parent/Carer coffee mornings provide a safe judgement free space and the chance to meet other people on a similar journey. Our Training and Wellbeing events provide groups with similar interests the opportunity to socialise whilst developing their skill set.
