Southampton Sunday Lunch Project
This project allows us to continue serving hot meals to the community every Sunday. Customer numbers have risen sharply in recent times and the demand for our service is growing.
About this cause
We provide a warm meal every Sunday throughout the year, soup, main, and dessert in a warm, welcoming, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is completely free, with no booking required or questions asked and is open to all people in need. Our guests are adults only – some have retired, some may be working but in need of some support and company, and some do not have a suitable home or have fallen on hard times and need a hot meal. We rely solely on donations to allow us to operate and operate with volunteers only; no-one working within the charity receives a salary or wage. We have two locations, Woolston and St Deny, and although this application is for Woolston, the money will be shared in both locations where we have been supporting the local community since 1990.

How this cause brings people in the community together
This project allows us to continue serving hot meals to the community every Sunday. Customer numbers have risen sharply in recent times and the demand for our service is growing. Funding would help us to feed others in our community, and although families cannot sit down and eat, we provide them with takeaways. No-one is turned away.
