About this cause
Havering Young Carers is a service of the charity Imago. Havering Young Carers delivers a support service to anyone aged 5-17 living in Havering who is taking on caring responsibilities for a family member with a long-term illness, disability, mental health or substance misuse issue. Caring for someone can be very rewarding. It can also be very tiring and stressful, and have an impact on the carer’s own health and wellbeing. We would like to fund respite activities to support unpaid carers.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We aim to offer a break from caring roles to young carers aged 5-17 living in Havering. They will have the opportunity to meet others, try new activities and have fun.
