We'd like to provide food and community meals to vulnerable individuals and families in poverty. We'd also like to teach families how to shop and cook on a budget, and how to prepare healthy food.
About this cause
We are a local community building that provides support for all people in the area, especially those that are living in poverty. We provide food parcels and community meals for anyone who needs this service, and support homeless people with food, clothing and hot meals. We run activities for all ages including 'get together' groups and gentle exercise for elderly people. We also support anyone vulnerable or in need with hot meals and a prescription collect/deliver service, and offer advice for debt issues, mental health problems and loneliness, and signpost people to professional services when required. We support all who require our service in our one stop shop for support, advice and guidance.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will support vulnerable people in our community who are subject to poverty and now struggling due to the increased costs of fuel, food and energy. Since the cost of living crisis began, we have seen a considerable increase in the number of people seeking food parcels, warm spaces, advice, guidance and signposting for debt management. We are an inclusive charity that helps anyone who needs our support and welcomes all to the services that we provide, including isolated people, families in poverty, those struggling with their mental health, the disabled and the elderly. We also help homeless people with food and clothing.
