We help prevent older people from suffering from loneliness and isolation by bringing them together for an affordable freshly cooked meal and offer activities to improve mental and physical wellbeing.

About this cause
Our goal is to improve the welfare for people aged fifty years and over, by providing access to social, physical and mental recreation, reducing social isolation and engaging in activities that improve the physical and mental wellbeing of the elderly community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will continue to support elderly people in our community. These individuals often find themselves socially isolated and lonely, which affects both their physical and mental health. This project will allow more people to access an affordable freshly cooked meal and to be able to enjoy it with companionship and as part of a community. Additional funding will also allow us to keep the Centre open for longer during winter months, providing extra support for those who are struggling with fuel poverty. While members are at the Centre we would like to provide activities to stimulate and improve their physical and mental health, through seated exercise classes and art classes.
