People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
Our HQ has served both Girlguiding and the local community for decades but we would like to further develop our green space and changing facilities, and make the outside match the welcome inside.
About this cause
Wrexham Girlguide HQ is the headquarters for Wrexham Girlguiding, part of the UK's largest youth organisation dedicated completely to girls. Our HQ is a local, relaxed and encouraging all-girl space, where every girl can be herself and feel at home; free of pressure and judgement - just fun and learning with other girls, guided by our inspiring volunteers. We help girls grow through challenges and adventures for all personalities and abilities, from 4 to 18 years old. Right in the centre of Wrexham, for decades our HQ has held Unit meetings, parties, celebrations, and all kinds of get togethers for our volunteers. Not to mention hosting our local Girlguiding Pop-Up Shop and Trefoil Guild (18+) meetings.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Wrexham Girlguiding will be able to offer even more ways to show local girls they can do anything by hosting Unit sleepovers, developing eco projects, inspiring young and not-so-young Wrexham women, and hosting parent and toddler groups in our central location.
