About this cause
Our overall aim is to create greater inclusion and well-being of people with visual impairments in Worthing and beyond
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our coaching sessions provide essential support to our clients and their family members. The sessions help clients understand their sight loss journey, as well as give them the opportunity to voice their feelings and experiences. Family members taking part feel better educated as to how they can support their loved one by understanding some of the challenges they are facing. SSW aims to increase the scope of its coaching sessions to cover more topics including: ● employment skills and training ● educational pathways and options ● peer and family support ● accessing practical training and support in technology ● benefits support ● 1-2-1 advocacy
