About this cause

We provide a 24/7 community radio service to a potential audience of 100,000 across the Rossendale Valley. We cover community events, talk with community leaders on air and invite groups to talk about their organisations. We are building a Community Hub on our website to centralise information on community groups, service providers, etc. in our area. We aim to bring the Valley together and are 100% equal opportunities driven. We offer the chance for any resident to join our organisation and all the presenters are themselves volunteers. We get regular feedback from listeners and other groups about how our service helps them fight loneliness, improves their mental health and how they look forward to listening.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We consider ourselves to be the Voice of the Valley and Rossendale Radio will continue to provide the service 24/7. We will ensure we broadcast information of value to all residents across the Rossendale Valley, and be there to provide a friendly voice for those who are feeling lonely, isolated or going through emotional mental wellbeing issues. We will also welcome people from the community into our little radio family.
