Stakeford Scout Group
Young People
We want to renovate the Scout Hall to improve facilities, enable easier access for all, and increase community activity.
About this cause
Stakeford Scout Group, part of Wansbeck District Scouts in Northumberland provides an interesting and exciting program of activities for boys and girls aged 6-14 years. It is guided by an adult leader team and active executive committee. It aims to develop the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential of each young person, based on the values and principals set out in the Law and Promiser of the scout movement in the United Kingdom.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We currently give access to other youth groups and renovation of the hall will increase this community activity and give easier access to people with a physical disability. Existing toilets and storage at the front of the building would be demolished and rebuilt to include new toilets and kitchen facilities. Replacement of heating system, upgrade of electrics and security/fire protection, replacement of windows and doors throughout. All youth members and Leader team would benefit from this renovation as well as the local community as the hall would be safer and easier to access.
