People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We would like to run free-to-attend family fun days across Plymouth to bring people together in our community, such as the Stoke Village Fun Day, Barne Barton Fun Day and the Central Park Fun Day.

About this cause
The group offers support to community groups, traders, and artists with the aim of protecting local projects and the local economy, and enhancing the overall prosperity of the area by increasing community cohesion and strengthening community spirit. We do this through community events, both by running our own events and by supporting community groups in running theirs and increasing cohesion within their community. In short, we deliver free-to-attend public events, for the wider public, with market stalls, information stalls, and live music and performances.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our primary aim is to support local groups by running free-to-attend events for the community (average daily visitor numbers of approx. 5,000), increasing community cohesion and bringing people together. More specifically, we are looking at the Stoke Village Fun Day, the Barne Barton Fun Day and the Central Park Fun Day. These events bring thousands of local people together, increasing cohesion and reducing social isolation within these areas and the wider community.
