About this cause

Camphill MK is a community of 70 adults with learning disabilities and autism who are encouraged and supported to maximise their potential through the experience of living, learning, working and celebrating in community with others. We are based in Milton Keynes, predominantly over 2 sites with on-site accommodation, a theatre, ceramics studio, weavery, allotments, craft workshops and café. Residents and other beneficiaries participate each day in a range of inspirational and meaningful projects and activities, including horticulture, arts and crafts, tools refurbishment/upcycling, food production, music, drama, technology and journalism.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Our project provides meaning and purpose to the lives of more than 70 adults with learning disabilities and autism. By donating funds to Camphill MK you will enable our residents to engage in creative and horticultural workshops with materials and tools for them to try new techniques, push their skills and learn new ways of working. The benefit of this is building confidence, communication skills, dexterity/coordination, purpose and self-worth. The residents use these skills to support other projects and charities in MK such as charity shops, nurseries, festivals, libraries and community events (litter picking, stewarding etc).
