For pupils at Lenzie Academy, we'd like to raise money for a breakfast club, and football and dance academies. This ensures they will stay active and have access to healthy breakfasts each day.
About this cause
Lenzie Academy PTA is a Sub Committee of Lenzie Academy Parent Council. We are a very small group of parents and teachers whose sole purpose is to work hard organising fundraising events to raise much needed funds for all pupils at Lenzie Academy. All the money raised goes directly to the school. With money we raise, we try to buy a range of resources across every department in the school, enhancing the children’s education and experiences at school. But, with the cost of living crisis and families really struggling financially, we are finding it increasingly difficult to raise much needed funds for our children. Our project will make a huge difference for so many pupils at Lenzie Academy.

How this cause brings people in the community together
This initiative will have a huge on children at Lenzie Academy by raising much-needed funds to run a morning breakfast club, football academy and dance academy. Children would arrive before school, take part in fun activities followed by a healthy, nutritious breakfast which is particularly important for pupils who may not be having breakfast at home. The kids will be fed, energised and ready to learn for the school day ahead. The school would like to run three Football and two dance academies per week for 39 weeks; if enough funds are raised we would like to continue to run these academies every year for the children. The programme would be offered to all pupils regardless of background or sporting ability but also to those from low SIMD or other barriers to learning/school.
