People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
By encouraging connections using a deck of cards called Explore, we can boost mental health and wellbeing at schools, doctor's surgeries, care homes and hospitals.
About this cause
Our goal is to foster wellbeing in communities and at work through away day experiences, workshops, speaking engagements and mental health training for employees, managers and people in the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We want to break down barriers around relationship building, loneliness and isolation by encouraging fun, healthy conversations that enable us share our experiences through Explore cards, which connect individuals across generations, ethnicities, life experiences and socio-economic backgrounds. Responses we've received about the project, which we launched in January, 2023, include: "it's such a beautiful way to engage and connect with others. Regardless of how well you know a person, the conversation inspired by the cards invites a deeper understanding and knowing," and "it's amazing how just one card could send off such a long train of conversation (a long forgotten skill in this digital age!)."
