We want a slide to develop children's physical confidence and a camera for the children to use to develop hand/eye coordination.
About this cause
We are a parent run preschool, providing education and care for children in the local community aged from 2 - 5 years. We are the only preschool provision available for parents who live in the village, most of the children live within walking distance so it is accessible whether or not they have their own transport. The preschool ensures children are 'school ready', meaning they can make good progress once they start formal education. We also enable parents to go to work. Involvement in the parent committee also helps develop the confidence of many young mothers, often providing a route into future work.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Evidence shows that more confident children who have attended preschool develop improved physical, language, social and emotional skills will become better school pupils and eventually better citizens in the community. By providing a more exciting well equipped preschool environment we will attract more children to this facility and support their development. Many of the children have limited play resources at home so this funding will expand their experiences.
