About this cause
Creatful provides spaces for people to connect using creativity. We are based in Waterlooville, Hampshire, providing services to a wider community. We have a passion for making sure all people have spaces in their communities where they feel safe and welcomed. We use creativity to bring people together and empower people to manage their own wellbeing. We support a number of outreach grassroots groups based on the needs of our communities. This includes: craft and chat groups in Waterlooville and Denmead, a craft group for Havant's Ukrainian community, a craft group at a women's centre, family events and an afterschool club. We have a focus on signposting local mental health services as our directors all have lived experience of mental health illness.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will continue to listen to our community, supporting those in need. This includes reaching those directly experiencing social isolation, mental health illness and domestic abuse. Along with this, it will assist us in supporting the integration of our Ukrainian families. Creativity is an under-utilised wellbeing tool that we are using in our community to provide a lifeline for those who feel disconnected, isolated and lonely while ensuring they are appropriately signposted to local services.
