We want to purchase outdoor play equipment for our children so that they can take full advantage of the outdoor space we have.
About this cause
We are a voluntary committee led pre-school playgroup offering sessional childcare for 2-4 year olds in Radcliffe on Trent. We employ 14 members of staff, and can provide childcare for up to 39 children per session. As a charity we are able to operate on a not for profit basis, and as such keep our charges as low as we can. This allows easier access for all parents and carers in the village, whatever their financial circumstances. We are one of the biggest local employers in the village. We fundraise as much as we can in order to self fund any new items we may need. Our recent forced relocation has been a financial burden on us. We are now in a wonderful purpose built modular building next to the local infant school, but we need to now recoup funds with additional fundraising.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our new building has been refurbished, but funds were not available at that time to complete the outdoor area. We would like to purchase outdoor play equipment, including a climbing frame, sandpit, seating area, planters, canopy, and outdoor storage in order that our children can make the most of the outdoor space we have. The play equipment is both entertaining, but also vital for encouraging children to exercise, and to challenge them to develop both mentally and physically. Children learn through play, and we want to ensure that they have access to the equipment they need to maximise their development. As a charity we operate on a not for profit basis, allowing us to remain as affordable as possible for our local community.
