Oakfield (Easton Maudit) Ltd
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We support adults with learning disabilities with foundation learning in growing fruit and vegetables, developing skill in harvesting, and animal care. We share produce within the community.

About this cause
We provide accommodation, care and support to adults with learning disabilities within Northamptonshire. Our goal is to provide a home from home experience with the required support for each individual to learn new skills and achieve their full potential to live active, healthy lives within their local community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Care Farm Day Service is aimed to support people with learning and physical disabilities aged 18+. We provide them with skills to aid them in their day to day lives. They learn about horticulture and animal care within a safe rural environment. The service is designed to accommodate groups which are person-centred and where one to one support is available for individuals where needed. Working together enhances friendships, socialising/teamwork and generates the confidence and purpose to learn and live a fulfilling life. Oakfield has a number of years’ experience working with adults with learning disabilities, providing them with foundation learning in growing fruit and vegetables from seed.
