About this cause
Our goal is to reclaim the community garden and turn it into a functional food growing system and weather tracker, using a weather station created by community members of all ages. The garden will become a place for tranquillity and relaxation, but will also align with the local primary school teaching about the eco system and climate change. We will also bring families and community members together for activities and maintenance of the garden.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will continue to support the people in our community, at a time when they need it the most. We will be bringing the community together to reduce social isolation and give knowledge of sustainability within food growing systems, to help reduce food bills as every little helps in these hard times. We encourage all generations to come together and learn the multiple skills community members have to share on topics such as wildlife, food and flower growing, and climate change issues. We offer a place to de-stress, relax and enjoy.
