About this cause
Our vision is to make a positive difference in the lives of older people in our community. We aim to encourage healthy aging and enable social interaction, be a trusted advisor to older people and help to improve the lives of those over 50 living in our community. Our services particularly focus on reducing loneliness and isolation, maintaining physical and mental health, and supporting people to stay independent for longer. Recently, we have been particularly focused on helping older people in Hammersmith and Fulham to get through the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

How this cause brings people in the community together
We provide a home-cooked two-course meal at our Activity Centre every day at a subsidised price of £2. One of the main reasons this service is so needed is the number of older people who are unable to afford to both eat and heat their homes. This £2 meal means that even those with very little money are able to access healthy, hot food every weekday. In the current cost-of-living crisis, we have seen a huge demand for our lunches, with attendee numbers growing weekly. For many of our service users, this is the only meal they eat in a day.
