We want to continue helping local underprivileged families with gifts, crisis packs, food and household items etc.
About this cause
We are all volunteers who run the charity in our spare time. We help underprivileged families in Poole, Bournemouth & Christchurch, whether they are struggling financially, have been through domestic violence, victims of human trafficking, cases of neglect & any families put forward by schools, social services, Liaison Officers etc. We provide food shopping, nappies, baby milk, clothing, baby equipment, household items, toys,books, toiletries, birthday & Xmas presents etc. Unfortunately the need during 2016 has been huge, and we have helped many families through tough times. If you would consider us as your Charity of 2017, that would help us continue this vital local service, every penny/item donated goes directly to these families, so 100% of your donation goes to the people who need it.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It benefits the community by pulling people together, making sure everyone in the local community can reach our service when they need it, and can support each other through hard times. We hold regular community events, such as fun days, quiz nights, fetes etc, and will continue to do this during 2017. It is amazing how families work together in local communities to help those less fortunate.
