We are a local brass band, keen to give opportunities to young brass players. We would like to provide good quality instruments, music, and continue performing concerts.
About this cause
We're a group that aims to encourage local young people to learn and play brass instruments, to keep a local heritage thriving in our area. We provide young players with brass instruments and free music tuition by experienced brass players. Since receiving the Co-op community fund in 2017, we have been able to buy new instruments and music for the band.
How this cause brings people in the community together
With extra funding, we’re able to stage free concerts in our local area, for groups who are fundraising themselves, e.g. local churches, village groups, care homes. By recruiting new members from local schools, we ensure that our young brass players have everything they need to enjoy this hobby: instruments and free tuition by our more experienced players.
