Grief Encounter South West
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We would like to provide vital one-to-one counselling sessions for children and young people that have suffered the death of a parent or sibling.

About this cause
We support bereaved children, young people and their families following the death of a loved one. We provide 1:1 counselling, residential fun-days, our award-winning Grief Relief Kit and our helpline: grieftalk. Our goal is to offer compassion, understanding and support wherever we see grief, confusion and pain, and ensure that children, young people and families do not have to grieve alone.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our counselling aims to improve children and young people’s mental health, and support them to move on positively with their lives, learning to live with grief and to adjust to life without their mum, dad, brother or sister.
