People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We would like to raise funds to enable adults and children access to private therapy to improve their mental health, physical health and wellbeing.
About this cause
The Trauma Centre is a registered community interest company based in Ripon. We subsidise people of any age living with mental and physical problems arising from psychological trauma and adverse childhood experiences. We support people to access the help needed to recover, and to improve their wellbeing with therapy, activities and education.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We are approved by the Primary Care Networks, which links us to GP surgeries and community mental health teams. This project makes a difference to our community by shortening waiting lists for therapy, subsidising and removing barriers to better health and wellbeing. We enable people to find safety, a purpose, validation and a chance to recover with a care plan.
