We would like to recruit listening volunteers to join our branch, to help us continue to operate. The more volunteers we have, the more hours we can open and provide this much-needed service.
About this cause
We're a group that aims to support people through difficult times, by listening without judgement and without pressure. As an organisation, we are there 24/7, 365 days a year, and can be contacted by phone, email or letter. We are able to signpost to a list of specialist organisations if needed, for advice or specialist help. We are best known for supporting people with suicidal thoughts.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will enable us to reach out to and recruit listening volunteers, to support anyone and everyone who needs our help locally and nationally. In the last year, we dealt with around 7,600 emails and calls. More volunteers means we can keep the branch open for longer hours, increase the number of emails and calls we take, and so support as many people as possible.
