The Expert On Myself
People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
We'd like to employ some autistic young people to write trainings around autism, their own experiences and their needs. They'll deliver it to local organisations and share their perspective.

About this cause
The Expert On Myself (TEOM) helps people speak and helps organisations listen. We work with people who struggle to have their voices heard in our community, such as the disabled, neurodiverse (e.g. with ADHD and autism), LGBTQ+ people and more. We help them create and deliver training on the issues that affect them, to further share with employers groups and services.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will help autistic young people in Cambridge feel heard by breaking down barriers to accessing services and groups. It will also allow employers to be more accommodating by providing paid work experience for autistic young people in our area, in turn increasing their employability. We provide a space for autistic young people to meet and make personal and/or professional connections.
