People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
Exercise is great for young people’s physical and mental wellbeing; it reduces stress and anxiety. The TCF programme helps children develop mental resilience, while having fun and getting fit.
About this cause
We're a group who want to promote physical and mental health and fitness through sport for all young people in Rotherham. The TCF also works with disabled groups and with physically and mentally handicapped adults and young people, to encourage their fitness and develop their social skills.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Covid-19 has left many of our children and young people struggling with their mental health. Schools need support to help children, from primary age, right through to young adults. The players who coach on the Titans Community Foundation can help. Their Exercise for Mental Health programme focuses on fun and fitness, and explores ways to develop mental resilience and coping mechanisms.
