We would like to improve and update the outdoor sports facilities and playground at Michael Syddall Primary School.
About this cause
We are a PTA consisting of parents and teachers who organise and run fundraising activities such as: the Duck race, Summer Fayre, School discos and Christmas Fayre. Funds raised are used to provide Michael Syddall C of E (VA) Primary school with new equipment and facilitate activities that the schools budget can not stretch to. The equipment and activities that the MSSA are able to provide enhance the children's education, skills, lifestyle and social skills which in turn benefits our community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The MSSA would like to improve and update Michael Syddall Primary School's playground and sports field. Ideally they would like to install a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), the cost of this is £5000. The markings on the playground are also wearing away and need renewing and new sports equipment is required. The MSSA have already begun raising funds for these projects however we require help in order to achieve our target. These facilities would be used by the children during lesson time, breaks and also after school. The after school clubs are extremely popular as they offer the children opportunities to try out new activities and gain new skills. Improving the facilities will enable the school to develop an excellent provision for the young people of our community.
