About this cause
The Caithness Junior Orchestra gives the opportunity to all children to be part of a real live orchestra. It was created by caithnessmusic.com, a social enterprise which promotes health and wellbeing through community music making in Caithness. Our core values of kindness, honesty, inclusivity and generosity are embedded in all our activities.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Caithness Junior Orchestra is an inclusive friendly group for young musicians of all abilities and backgrounds to meet and play together. Having colourful polo shirts to wear as uniforms will not only bring a smile to the faces of our audiences, but also breakdown barriers such as affordability, gender bias, and social inequality.
