1st Roffey Scout Group

We have an area in the 1st Roffey Scout hut that can be made a more useful space for scout activities, but requires a new floor, heating, electrics, painting and furniture.
About this cause
The mission of Scouting has always been to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system, based on the Scout Promise and Law. The 1st Roffey Scout group has been serving the community since 1920. We host 122 young people and have a staff of 22 volunteers; the real challenge is to make Scouting available to all young people in the area using our current infrastructure.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This extra useable space will allow us to extend our membership numbers in all sections of the group. It will give the Explorer unit a space within the hut that can be used to manage their activities, in a comfortable and functional space. All sections will be able to extend the range of activities made available, and allow more young people from the local community to get involved in Scouting.
