We aim to grow our Green Club to educate the children about climate change. We will monitor resource use (energy/raw materials) and waste and find improvements, thus reducing our carbon emissions.
About this cause
We are an integral part of our school community, running fundraising events with the money raised being spent on vital school resources that really support and enrich the children's education. Our projects range in scale, from funding an outside classroom and purchasing an interactive projector screen, to buying cooking equipment, library books, dictionaries and painting aprons.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Green Club will educate the children about climate change. We will measure our carbon emissions (where possible) and find ways to reduce our emissions, e.g. changing some of our raw materials, moving to lower carbon emission suppliers or planting trees to offset carbon emissions. Educating the children about climate change will empower them to make choices that protect Earth, for their future.
