We help victims of domestic violence become survivors and start new lives. Nobody should suffer in silence – we help prevent poverty and hunger in the community.
About this cause
Our goal is to help victims of domestic violence become survivors by providing everything from clothes and personal items to fully furnishing their new homes so they are able to live a life away from abuse. We also help the local community to prevent poverty and hunger by running a food table/fridge and a food bank. We try to aid mental wellbeing, save lives, prevent suffering, and put smiles on faces.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Domestic violence victims often leave home with just the clothes they are wearing. We aim to assist with emergency needs by providing clothes and personal items for themselves and/or their babies. When they leave the refuge, we provide household items and furniture to help prevent them from returning to the perpetrator. We also run a community food table/fridge and food bank.
