Bristol Dementia Action Alliance
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We would like to offer education, practical support and resources, including free dementia awareness sessions, to people living with dementia, their loved ones and the communities of Bristol.

About this cause
We aim to change the culture of Bristol to make it THE dementia friendly city in the UK, by being welcoming and supportive to people with dementia. We do this by educating people about dementia through free awareness sessions/workshops, running events, supporting local initiatives, and hosting our own memory cafe for people living with dementia and their loved ones.

How this cause brings people in the community together
We all need support, especially with a diagnosis of a terminal illness like dementia. It is easy to feel isolated and alone. At BDAA, we all have personal experience of dementia and we aim to help people to live their lives to the fullest. We do this by running a monthly memory cafe and educating the communities of Bristol about dementia and how they can help those living with the illness.
