We want to bring everyone together to enjoy arts and crafts in a welcoming place - for anyone aged three to 90!
About this cause
We are The Maidstone Art Centre CIC, a not-for-profit community arts centre which provides arts, crafts and social interaction for all. We offer extremely low-cost art sessions, but we would like to be able to provide free sessions for people on low incomes, older people who have been isolated, neurodivergent young people and toddlers. Community is at the heart of what we do.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will allow the community to come together, make new friends and learn new skills. Art is so important for mental health and our centre strives to make sure everyone who comes here feels welcome, wanted and included. We don’t care if you are a complete beginner or a master, everyone here is equal and can enjoy the huge volume of materials and equipment which have been donated.
