This 7-week programme focusses on enhancing individual health and wellbeing for young carers. Tailored workshops will include positive strategies to balance the stresses of life and build resilience.
About this cause
Kool Carers supports young carers aged 8–18 and their families residing in Brentwood and the Basildon Borough. It is the only young carers charity locally, which works holistically in supporting young carers and their immediate families. The work that the charity undertakes has since its conception been a welcome and well-respected community resource.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This 7-week mental health and wellbeing programme will provide young carers with knowledge and strategies to be able to balance the stresses of life, whilst building their own individual resilience. The workshops will assist in enhancing the overall wellbeing of young carers residing within the local community, in addition to reducing the isolation and loneliness that so many experience.
