We would like to provide a safe space for vulnerable and lonely people in Thurrock to receive help and ongoing support for many life issues.
About this cause
Our purpose is to help people across Thurrock so that their lives may be transformed and their wellbeing improved. We do this by providing a safe space for vulnerable people within Thurrock through our Community Café called Spacious Place, where help and support is available for any life issue that they may be struggling with. We also run Thurrock Foodbank and an 'outstanding' Ofsted-rated preschool.
How this cause brings people in the community together
At present there is no solely dedicated safe and neutral space for vulnerable people to attend and receive ongoing support for any life issues such as personal debt, housing, landlord problems, food and fuel poverty, isolation or loneliness, marriage and family, senior citizens and mental health. Our Community Café will provide such a space and be a link to the relevant support agencies.
