We would like to support student out-of-school visits to museums, theatres, sporting and musical activities, and ensure all students have access to a residential experience.
About this cause
We're a group who want to extend the experiences offered to disadvantaged young people, so that they become good citizens. Many of our students have limited access to experiences outside school, such as visits to places of interest, museums, theatres, sporting or musical activities. The pandemic reduced their opportunities still further, with significant impact on their mental health.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will widen horizons for Cressex students, giving them opportunities for access to experiences that they would otherwise not have had. They will go to museums, theatres and musical venues, enriching their cultural capital and helping them to interact with their peers in non-classroom settings, boosting their mental health after the isolation of the pandemic.
