We'd like to develop our community dementia choir. Music is part of being human; a community dementia choir would enhance the local services we provide for people living with dementia.
About this cause
We want to establish a dementia choir. The need is very evident in the local community and the demand for musical activities is high. Benefits are shown through change in mood/animation/interaction in response to familiar melodies, lyrics and rhythms, by participation in singing and memories prompted by the songs. The focus is to elicit a response and engage in a formal musical activity.

Young at Heart ULO CIC provides excellent dementia-friendly activities and support for carers.
