We would like to buy recycling bins for the public woodland we manage, to help protect the environment and biodiversity.
About this cause
Oak Tree works to improve the lives of the animals in our care, preserve and protect our local environment, and meaningfully benefit the community in which we work. As well as our rehoming services, we are committed to supporting local and vulnerable people and we undertake a wide range of community engagement and education activities, including with schools, colleges and community groups.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Blackburn Woods - managed by Oak Tree Animals' Charity, is popular amongst the local community - welcoming more than 5,000 people and their dogs a year. Adding recycling facilities to this, and our children's playground, will encourage people to help reduce their impact on the environment by reducing litter and promoting the message 'Reduce, Recycle, Reuse'.
