Ynyshir Brass Band
People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
We would like to purchase warm coats to keep the players dry and warm when playing in the local community through winter. We support many local causes throughout the Rhondda.
About this cause
Originally formed in 1898 as the Ynyshir Drum and Fife Band, Ynyshir band has members between the ages of 5 and 83. Anyone wishing to learn to play a brass instrument or percussion can come along and have free tuition and use of an instrument. Social inclusion is also a big part of the band and we play concerts in the local community at regular intervals.

Anyone wishing to learn to play a brass instrument or percussion can come along and have free tuition, music, use of an instrument and also, for the senior band members, uniforms. Social inclusion is also a big part of the band, providing concerts in the local community.
