People: Supporting young people to fulfil their potential
We aim to provide additional equipment to allow younger children to play in the area near our community café. Here they can play safely and be easily supervised by adults using the centre.
About this cause
We're a group who provide recreational facilities and the opportunity for social interaction in the village community. We manage our local community centre, outdoor open space, and community café. The centre is used by a wide range of clubs and groups delivering numerous activities. Here people can make friends, socialise, play and exercise. In an expanding village, we'd like more play equipment.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We're a small village community which, as part of recent development, has 1,200 new houses that are expected to double the population. Currently there's little planned investment for play facilities. Our Trust manages a community café and adjacent play area. We aim to enhance this area with play equipment to engage and entertain young people, and encourage contact between members of the community.
